Unity – Thomas Miles Walton, 51, died Thursday morning, May 15, 1957 at the Togus VA Hospital in Chelsea following a long illness. He was born in Caribou July 26, 1895, son of Daniel Frank and Annie Daley Walton.


He was a former member of the American Legion and of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Unity.


Surviving are two sons, Donald of Dixmont and Kermit stationed in Maryland with the United States Navy; six sisters, Mrs. Beulah Libby of Unity, Mrs. Marjorie Jenkins of Belfast, Mrs. Allie Wood of Burnham, Mrs. Vivian Berry of Troy, Mrs. Jennie Macomber of Virginia and Mrs. Nancy Jones of Jefferson; a brother, Chester Walton of Randolph and four grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at the Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel in Pittsfield with the Rev. Lloyd Jewett officiating. Friends may call at the funeral chapel today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 pm.
