Daniel Frank Walton, 72, died of a heart attack at his home Friday noon June 5, 1942. He was born in Caribou Nov. 27, 1869, the son of the late Thomas and Nancy Dow Walton. Mr. Walton had lived in Unity 22 years.

In 1894, he married Annie Daley of Caribou, who died July 25, 1928. In October 1837, Mr. Walton was united in marriage to Mrs. Hattie Walton of Unity, who survives him.

Surviving relatives are his widow, Mrs. Hattie Walton; six daughters, Mrs. Jennie Macomber of Gore, VA; Mrs. Allie Wood of Burnham; Mrs. Beulah Libby, Mrs. Nancy Jones, Mrs. Marjorie Jenkins and Mrs. Vivian Berry all of Unity; two sons, Miles of Portland and Chester of Lewiston; and 17 grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Reynolds of Unity and Mrs. Ann Argraves of Caribou; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday after with the Rev. Leslie Howard officiating. The bearers were Alton Libby, Marshall Walton, Alton Reynolds, Everett Jenkins, Ellery Walton and Maurice Reynolds. Interment was in the Pond Cemetery in Unity.

Out of town relatives who attended the services were Mr. & Mrs. M. J. Dailey of Orrington; Mrs. Annie Weston, Mr. & Mrs. Ellery Walton and Mrs. Irene Walton of Augusta; Mr. & Mrs. Chester Walton and family of Lewiston; Miles Walton and sons Donald and Kermit of Portland and Mr. & Mrs. Clifton Wood of Burnham.
