She was a 50 year plus member of Grant Memorial Church in Presque Isle, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent of the Sunday School for a number of years. She was also a member of the Methodists WSCS and she started the Wednesday afternoon Bible class. She was a member of St Mark's Methodist Church, St. Petersburg, Florida.
Mrs. Coffey is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Arnold and Ruth Coffey of Brewer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and W. Edward Prince of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Irene and Parker Allen of Westfield; one sister, Gladys Lamb of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Those who wish may contribute in Mrs. Coffey's memory to the Grant Memorial Methodist Church in Presque Isle. Memorial services will be held at 2 pm September 13 at the Grant Memorial Methodist Church.
