Christina Angela Rocca was born in Warren, Michigan, on April 17, 1984, the daughter of Frank Rocca and Helen (Kieleszewski) Rocca.

Christina was an 11th grade junior at Warren Cousino Senior High School.

When Christina was 7 years old, she underwent successful brain surgery and repeatedly had to undergo treatments at Children's Hospital in Detroit to maintain her brain shunt. She died during one of these treatments.

Christina was a very special person touching many lives in her short life. Despite all of her health problems, she was always smiling and concerned for others. While in the hospital, she never complained. She consistently took time to ask the other patients how they were doing and provided others with pep talks.

Christina was a member of the Federation of the Blind, SAAD, and DARE. She loved horses, hockey (she went to her first Red Wings game at age 3), shopping, swimming, babysitting, and goal ball. Her dream was to become a social worker in a children's hospital so she could help others and to someday own a cottage on Higgens Lake. Her favorite vacation was Virginia Beach. She was looking forward to taking a Caribbean cruise with her best friend, Gina, on her senior spring break .

Just recently, Christina found her real passion for radio and television while taking classes at Cousino High School. Her principal commented what a joy it was to have a student of her character and caliber. He further stated she lit up the school with her smile.
