LOGAN, LAWRENCE (LARRY) LEE

On Tuesday, January 7, 1986, of Burtonsville, Md., father of April Lyn and Allison Lee Logan; son of Melvin H. Logan, Sr. and Pauline (Bortree) Logan; brother of John and Tom Logan, Jane Hurst, Linda Ridgely and Pat Downs. Also survived by six nephews and three nieces. Friends may call at Hines/Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, Md., Wednesday, 7 to 9 and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at First Alliance Church, 14500 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, Md., on Friday, January 10 at 1 p.m. Interment Union Cemetery, Burtonsville, Md.

OBITUARIES

Lawrence Lee Logan, 46, a route man for the Rian dry cleaning company and a former service representative for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company, died of cancer January 7 at Sibley Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Logan, who lived in Burtonsville, was born in St. Marys, Pa. He grew up in Silver Spring and graduated from Montgomery Blair High School. He attended the University of Maryland and served in the Navy from 1963 to 1965.

He went to work for the telephone company about 1971 and remained there until about 1983, when he joined the Rian firm.

Mr. Logan was a life member of the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department, a charter member of the Clarksville Area Jaycees, and a member of the Burtonsville Lions Club and Calverton Elks Lodge.

His marriage to Nancy Logan ended in divorce.

Survivors include two daughters, April Lyn Logan of Ellicott City, Md. and Allison Lee Logan of Burtonsville; his parents, Melvin H. Logan, Jr. and Pauline Bortree Logan of Silver Spring; three sisters, Jane Hurst of Gaithersburg, Linda Ridgely of Silver Spring, and Pat Downs of Clarksburg, and two brothers, John and Tom, both of Burtonsville.
