Ingeborg was the youngest child of Peder 'Per' & Kari Ellevsdatter (Rundseie) of Eggedal, Norway. She was born March 03, 1861 and baptised on 28 April 1861.

At the age of four, on March 03, 1865 an entry in the Eggedal parish church record reads 'gone to america.' The Per Nyhus family sailed from Drammen, Norway on the ship 'Superior.' After a seven week voyage, the family reached New York and then made their way to Lake Mills, Winnebago Co., Iowa.

In June of 1874, Per, Kari, Ellef, Erick, Ingeborg and Gjertrud (Nyhus) Nelson, already a widow with her three-year old son and infant daughter, chose to relocate again. The family made the journey by covered wagon to the prairies of the Dakota Territory eventually homesteading in Enger Township, near the Goose River.

Ingeborg married Dr. Valentine 'Faltin' Bleckre who was from Vats, Rogalund, Norway. Dr. Bleckre came to America about 1866 eventually settling in the Goose River territory about 1879. This marriage produced a son:

Oliver, born November 1882.

Sadly, at the age of thirty-seven, Dr. Bleckre passed away on November 06, 1883 and was buried at Little Forks Lutheran Church in rural Hatton, North Dakota.

In 1888, Ingeborg remarried Ole F. Grimley, a farmer, born December 03, 1859 in Krodsherad, Norway who emigrated to the United States in 1860. This union produced eight children:

1. Frederick, b: July 1889 - d: 1958.
2. Carl, b: October 1890 - d: 1964.
3. Faltin, b: April 1892 - d: 1965.
4. Christine, b: January 1893-? -
5. Edwin, b: October 1894 - d: 1962.
6. George, b: May 04, 1896 -
7. Ida, b: February 1900 -
8. Olga, b: October 1902 - d: 1943.

In 1910, the Grimley family left North Dakota and relocated to Saskatchewan, Canada and in 1911, Ole, Ingeborg and children George, Christina, Ida and Olga are reportedly living on section 35 in the Humboldt census district near Rose Valley, Saskatchewan.

Circa 1917, Ingeborg was again widowed when her husband Ole passed away in West Store, Saskatchawan, Canada. Ingeborg died circa 1928 and was buried in Nut Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
