Blond and blue-eyed Carrie W Snedegar Coffey was born November 21, 1886. At some point in her life, she married a man with the last name of Snedegar. Whether it be from death or divorce, we do not know, but in 1910 she lived with her Aunt Alice Williams in Mount Solon, Virginia and was a schoolteacher. It was during this time, she met Wallace Berga Coffey, and they were joined in marriage on June 7, 1911 in Augusta, VA.

By 1913 the Coffey's had left Massies Mill, VA for Roanoke where she gave birth to Malcolm A., followed by James C., and Charles Frank in 1915 and 1917 respectively. About 1930, the family was once again on the move and finally settled into a frame house located on Wendelken Street in Dallas, Texas.

On the morning of October 1, 1939, Carrie suffered a coronary occlusion and sudden cardiac failure and passed away at 9:15 AM at her home of nine years. She left behind her spouse of 28 years, Wallace Berga, her sons Malcolm, and James of Dallas; her son Charles Frank and his wife Oleta and one granddaughter also of Dallas.
