He was born March 1, 1916, in White Butte, S.D., to Charles D. and Irene Allison Fulker. He received his early education in South Dakota schools. He moved to Bozeman in 1937, where he began ranching west of Bozeman in 1939. In 1956, he moved to his present ranch between Belgrade and Manhattan. On March 5, 1942, he married Marguerite Pruitt in Bozeman.
He was a strong supporter of the 4-H program during his adult life, and a member of the Montana Farm Bureau for 40 years. He served on the board of directors of the Gallatin County Farm Bureau. He was active in the local, state and national Columbia Sheep Association. In 1977, he was inducted into the Montana Winter Fair Hall of Fame, and has been associated with the fair since its inception. In 1984, he was the recipient of the Gallatin Valley Outstanding Farmer/Rancher Award.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Kent (Lois) Norby of Excelsior, Minn., and Mrs. James (Ilene) Casey of Great Falls; one sister, Mrs. Ivan (Marjorie) Richardson of Bozeman; one brother, Corwin Fulker of Grants Pass, Ore.; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
