Douglas Steven Scollard died of massive head injuries on July 28, 1978, as a result of a semi-truck and trailer accident just 13 miles west of Spokane, Washington.

Doug was born November 6, 1942 in Bozeman, Montana, a son of Allen and Ellen V. (Essex) Scollard. He attended school in Manhattan and graduated from Manhattan High School in 1961.

He attended college for one year at Briar Crest Bible Institute at Moose Jaw, Canada. He had lived in this area all his life. He married Sharon Postma July 2, 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He is survived by his wife, Bozeman; two stepsons, Travis and Daniel, Bozeman; his parents, Bozeman; one sister, Mrs. Lee (Judy) Ferry, San Diego, California; one brother, Joe, Bozeman; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery. Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
