My beautiful grandmother. I will always remember Christmas at her house... The HUGE tree that stood in the livingroom with everybody sitting in front of it singing Christmas carols... I NEVER heard my grandmother use a harsh word, or get upset over anything..and with all the kids underfoot she had plenty of reason to!
My grandmother lived to be 91 years old, and she was still living in her own home. Rest in peace, Grandmother... you earned your reward in Heaven...and now you have joined Papa.
I will always remember my dad's funeral... I had lost my son, Chris (19) the previous Aug ...and she had sent me a beautiful sympathy card (which I still have)... I KNEW how she felt...and I didn't have 66 years worth of memories!
But she and I knew how it felt to lose a child...that was the first of her children to leave Earth... since then she has another son, and a daughter in heaven with her.
