Louis was a party in a widely-reported construction lien case -- Iaege, etc. v. Bossieux -- decided by the Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals in 1859. As it happens, plaintiff Louis Bossieux is buried about 50 feet away from him.
During the Civil War his son Finton, who owned this plot, served first in the 46th Virginia Infantry and later in the Confederate States Navy.
