Beloved Wife Of Les Mcknight (1915-1982), and Dr. Joseph Bruggman(1917-2017). Mother of Georgetta McKnight Decker (1945-2021), and Albert McKnight (1948-2006). Stepmother to, Nancy Spies, Betty Heise, and Don Bruggman. Sister of Alberta Frye. Not to mention Addie had three Grandchildren and three Great-Grandchildren. Addie was a very Special lady and will be missed. Addie Worked for the department of Forrestry during World War II, Adiie and her family traveled around California as her husband Les was tranferd due to his job for the department of Forrestry. Les died in 1982. Addie believed she found her soul mate when she met Joe Bruggman. Dr. Joseph Bruggman and Addie McKnight both having lost a spouse started a new life together in September 1987. Addie lost Les in 1982, and Joe lost his wife Edna (1922-1986) very suddenly in 1986. They were the perfect happy couple. They Traveled all over, but enjoyed a quiet life in Turlock, California. Addie collected Apples and Lighthouses.Addie was a very fiesty lady. She was never affraid to tell you what she thought, but was a very wonderful person. She had a great love of animal's. She loved her neighbor's dogs. She would give them treats through the fence, and sometimes watch them when her neighbors were out of town. Addie loved going to her standing friday appointment to get her hair done. She even thought of her hairdresser's daughter as her granddaughter. Addie was a fighter, she had over come cancer and was suffering from congestive heart failure, but you never knew it. In 2003 she took care of her husband after knee replacement surgery. In early 2004 she got the a bug, a flu like illness, but never got over it completely. But in late spring she pulled it together to take care of Joe when he came down with bladder cancer. He grew very weak. For a while we thought we might lose him. We never thought Addie would go first. Addie fell ill once again in mid September 2004, after a short battle with Vasculitis Addie suffered a stroke on December 19, and died on December 26, 2004.
