FUNERAL THIS MORNING - MISS CATHERINE MATTINGLY, better known to her friends as "Miss Kitty," died Wednesday morning at 5:00 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Ella Hogan on Forest Street of cardiac asthma. Despite her advanced age of 87 years, she had been quite active and able to be out until recently when her condition became such as to confine her to her home. A daughter of the late Raymond and Julia Mattingly, deceased was born in Washington County, but had spent practically all of her life in this county where she was well known and had many friends. She was a devout member of the Catholic Church. Miss Mattingly was the last member of her family. Her only survivors are a number of nieces and nephews. Among them are: Miss Catherine Mattingly and Hamilton Mattingly of this county, Mrs. Virgie Dennison of Indianapolis, Ind., and Robert and Boone Mattingly of Louisville. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Augustine Church this morning at 9:00 o'clock by the Rev. Joseph Saffer, and burial will take place in the church cemetery.
