John R. Mattingly, a nite watchman for River Road Auto Parts, Inc., died at 4:15 p.m. yesterday [March 30, 1957] at his home, 2814 W. Main. Mattingly, 75, was a native of Marion County. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marie Macey and Mrs. McElroy Farmer; three sons, James, Milton & Robert Mattingly; a half-sister, Mrs. Celeste Dennison; three half-brothers, Hamilton, Boone & Robert Mattingly; his stepmother, Mrs. Lottie Mattingly, Lebanon; 21 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Heady Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak, and at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
