Son of James & Isabella Wynn. Husband of Margaret Armstrong, who is laid to rest in the Holiday Cemetery, Franklin County, Indiana, They were married in Franklin county by William Tyner, Minister on August 5,1822. Ten children was born to this union, Joseph married 2nd to Sarah Nutt Mullins July 1848, she died soon after April 30, 1850, he married 3rd Feb. 1857 Margaret Reed, after Joseph died she took the children to Decatur county Indiana near John Wynn who was Joseph's brother.

Joseph Wynn was a member of the Little cedar grove Baptist church and Big cedar grove Baptist church. He lived in the area of eastern Brookville township near the town of Palestine, Sometimes called Wynn.

THE FRANKLIN DEMOCRAT, AUGUST 14,1857

DIED. On Sunday morning last, after a long and painful illness, Mr. Joseph Wynn of this county. The deceased was a native of England, but had resided in this country about 35 years. He was one of our best citizens and highly esteemed by all who knew him. For the past 25 years had been an exemplary Christian, and prominent member of the Baptist church. He was 56 years old.
