Rich was my first true love and a great friend throughout the years. We kept in contact as we both moved on and married, had kids, moved out of state, etc. He and I had an unbreakable bond through our friendship. He lived in St. Louis, MO most of his life where he went to Rosary High School and was a football and track star. He attended college at Lindenwood, then went into the military for the Navy. He spent many years in the Navy and when his time was up he became a police officer with the Chula Vista police department in California. He was there until he had a motorcycle accident and had to be on light duty for a while. He had many surgeries because of the accident and ended up with a blood clot which caused him to have a heart attack and pass away on his 10 year wedding anniversary while on a day out with his wife sightseeing. He will be missed by me and many others every day.

If you're calling 'bout my heart
It's still yours
I shoulda listened to it a little more
Then it wouldn't have
Taken me so long
To know where I belong
And by the way boy
This is no machine you're talking to
Can't you tell this is St. Louis
And I still love you
...I still love you
