Kelly was married to Michael Shane Andrews (my brother) on December 17, 1997.

To their union came 2 children: a son, Casey, and a daughter, Kennedy.

Her parents were Stan and Diane Slack.

She had one sister, Laura.

Kelly was born and raised in Longview, TX, attending all her years of school at Pine Tree ISD. I remember her from school being one of those kids that every body knew. She was not a trouble maker, but a friend to everyone. She always had a smile on her face, and was never mean. Even when she was mad, she was just so nice.

She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a 2 year old. She was so sweet when she'd get her shots, saying thank you, and going back to play, never once complaining.

After graduation, she settled down into her life as a wife and mother. It was at this time when I got to know her best. She would call me on the phone just to talk. She was the sister I always wanted. We made trips together as families, and our kids played together while we sat and watched. The times we did nothing special were the most special of all.

Kelly died young from complications from her diabetes. They were living in Dallas at the time. She went back home to Longview for her final rest.

She is missed by her family and friends.

She had so much love for everyone, and enjoyed her life to the fullest. She was so fun to be around, as she just lit up the room.
