Mark Lee "Markie" Bufford, Jr., age 15, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008, in Cleburne County. Born in Searcy on May 2, 1993, he was the son of Mark Lee Bufford, Sr. and Angela Worman Wallace.
Markie was a 9th grader at Clearview Christian Academy where he played basketball. He was a lover of bull riding and BMX bicycling. Markie was a member of Clearview Baptist Church and a lifetime resident of Cleburne County.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Bufford; his grandmother, Dorothy Fay Bufford; and his stepgrandfather, Sam Brunson.
Markie is survived by his father and stepmother, Mark Lee Bufford, Sr. and Sherry Bufford of Heber Springs; his mother and stepfather, Angela Wallace and Duane Wallace of Greenbrier; one sister, Emma Bufford of Greenbrier; one stepbrother, Cody Wallace of Greenbrier; one stepsister, Morgan Hale of Higginson; his grandfather, Thomas Worman, Jr. of Greenbrier; and his grandmother, Karen Brunson of Louisiana.
Markie is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
Memorial services, 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008, in Olmstead Chapel. Burial in Antioch Cemetery.
