He was the son of Howard and Rose Bryant and known by all as "Steve."

Steve enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and served 20 years as an Air Policeman. His assignments included tours in Korea and Viet Nam. He had two tours at Andrews AFB, MD, where he travelled with, and secured, Special Missions Aircraft flying to various countries around the world.

Following his Air Force retirement, Steve joined the U.S. Capitol Police in April 1972. He honorably served as a police officer until combining his government pensions and retiring to Florida in 1987.

Steve was survived by his wife "Polly"; four sons and two daughters; two brothers; three sisters and ten granchildren.
