Michel O. Blanchette, 72, Sarasota, died Aug. 18, 2004. He was born May 8, 1932, in Stockholm, Maine, and came to Sarasota in 1998 from Camp Springs, Md. He was an exhibit technician and served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1970. He was a member of the American Legion and the Air Force Sergeant's Association. He was a Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Margarete; a daughter, Leonore MacDonald; a son, Robert; sisters Barbara Ouellette, Bibian Wolski, Pauline Saucier and Jackie Clark; brothers Hector and Damien; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 10 in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. The Good Earth Crematory, Bradenton, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, 1101 N. Lake Destiny Road, Suite 415, Maitland, FL 32751.
