Francis M. "Frankie" McGinn, 63, of Worcester, age 63, died on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the West Roxbury Veterans Hospital. He was the son of the late George and Bertha (Danko) McGinn of Worcester.
Francis was born on December 22, 1947 in Worcester, MA where he resided most of his life. He was a disabled Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He had been employed for a time at Hanson Tool and later retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2009.
He leaves behind his wife, Joanie McGinn and was pre-deceased by his wife of many years, Barbara (Reynolds) McGinn. In addition, he is survived by his stepchildren: Tracy and Danny, along with his cherished grandchildren: David, Brandon and Brandy. He was the beloved brother of Marguerite Martin and her husband Tony of Taunton, MA, Geannie Stephenson of Worcester, MA, Mary Ann Smith and her husband Ray of Millbury, MA, and George (Bobby) McGinn of Worcester, MA. He is also survived by one uncle, Frank Danko of Albany, NY, many nieces, nephews and cousins and his special friends: Artie and Judy Graves, Michael and Robyn Graves and Dickie and Cathy Brouder. At the request of Mr. McGinn, there will be a private burial at the convenience of the family.
