He was the long time operator of B & H Auto Parts in Russell Springs. He was a member of the Russell Springs United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, LaVere Black, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:

One daughter: Connie Lue (Norman) Martin, Somerset, KY
Three grandchildren: Bradley David (Maria) Morrow, Woodlawn, TN; Tracie (Dave) Eperson, Louisville, KY; and Daniel Ray Black, Russell Springs, KY
Three great grandchildren: Lorena Eleanor, and Valerie
One brother: Frank (Virginia) Black, Russell Springs, KY
