Georgia L. Powers, age 77, of Dale City passed away on Nov. 4, 2005, at Potomac Hospital. She will be remembered by her adoring family and friends as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all. She leaves us with fond memories of gardening, grandkids on her lap and she loved nothing more than having her family gathered around her. She is preceded in death by her husband Burke C. Powers; parents, Nellie and Paul (Dick) Roberts; son, Burke C. Powers Jr.; brother, Paul (Dickie) S. Roberts Jr.; sister, Louise Roberts; and nephew, Mark Roberts Rives. She is survived by her loving daughters, Becky Powers, Martha Powers, Suzy Powers, and Linda and husband Mike Farley; sons, William (Billy) Powers, and David Smith; sisters, Paula Rives of Campobello, S.C., and Lillian Smith of Tuscaloosa, Ala. She is also survived by her grandchildren, David Powers, Michael Farley Jr., Clark Powers, and Kayla J. Smith, along with two great grandchildren, Jordan and Trevor Powers. Friends may call at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
