On Dec 24, 1778 (Mattituck Marriage Records), he married Mary Wells, daughter of Micah and Mary (Youngs) Wells. They had seven children: Daniel, Mary, Elisha, Huldah, Micah Wells, Buley, and Ezra.

"Daniel Hallock was born at the Old Homestead, near Mattituck. He was a private in the N. Y. Militia, and received a pension for his services. Afterward was Aide-de-camp to Gen. Putnam. Acted as substitute for his brother, John, at the capture of Ft. Montgomery in 1777, and escaped capture.
