HOLD SERVICES FOR MR. JAKUBOWSKI

Funeral services were held at the Hall Funeral Home Saturday afternoon for August Jakubowski, 81, who died at the home of his son, Harold, on Wednesday evening, February 5th. Rev. E. C. Leyerer, of Clare, officiated and burial was made in Highland cemetery.

Mr. Jakubowski was born in Europe on December 21, 1865 and came to America in 1892, making his home in Detroit. He was married to Miss Hulda Zessau on July 5, 1893, who preceded him in death in April, 1920. They became the parents of four sons, Edmund the eldest dying when he was nine years old.

In February, 1921, he and his youngest son, Harold, moved to a farm in Sherman township where they lived until they moved to Gladwin city last December. Mr. Jakubowski had been ill for several years with a heart ailment.

He is survived by three sons, Harold of Gladwin, and Fred and Walter of Detroit.

He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran church, of Hamilton township.

Pallbearers were Ervin Burmeister, Gordon Roberts, William Adams, Joseph Soehnel, Leo Villeneuve and Walter Pahl. Gladwin County Record dated 2-12/947
