David J. Bredda, 29,
Columbus, Wis., formerly of
Wisconsin Rapids, was killed in
an airplane crash at Tupelo,
Miss., at 5:45 p.m. Monday. A
self-employed charter pilot, he
was on a charter flight at the
time of the accident.
The municipal airport
manager said the accident
occurred when Bredda tried to
land in dense fog, missed the
runway on his first attempt,
circled the field twice in his
twin-engine craft, then crashed
into woods about a half mile
away.
Services will be at 2 p.m.
Friday at Ritchay Funeral
Home, the Rev. George Bishop
officiating. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Bredda was born Jan. 28,
1943, in Fond du Lac, and is
the son of the late Larry Bredda
and Mrs. Robert Neibauer. He
lived in Wisconsin Rapids 14
years, moving from here to
Sheboygan, and for the past two
years resided in Columbus. He
married Jeanne Oleson here
July 22, 1961.
Survivors include his wife; his
parents...
