To Hold Reburial Rites Saturday For Pfc. Roberts

Reburial services for Pfc. Barley J. Roberts, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Roberts, Vesper, who lost his life while serving with the armed forces in Luxembourg on January 24, 1945, will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church. The Rev. Francis Zoll of Vesper is to officiate and burial will take place in Calvary cemetery here with military rites by Buckley-Baldwin post No. 2434, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Pfc. Roberts was born at Montreal, Wis., on October 6, 1923, and attended high school at Hurley. He enlisted in the service in March, 1943, and left to begin training on April 8 of that year. He is survived by his parents, who located at Vesper in 1947, and by one sister, Mrs. Irene Domin, Ishpenning, Mich. The body is to arrive Friday morning and will be taken to the Krohn and Berard Funeral home to lie until time of services. Prayers will be said at 9 o'clock Friday evening.
