Funeral of Mrs. Bailey

Funeral services for Mrs. George W. Bailey, a former Stevens Point resident, who died last Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Warren Buck at Houston, Texas, were held Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Church of the Intercession. The service was read by Mrs. Bailey's grandson, Rev. John R. Knapp of Anoka, Minnesota. Interment took place in the family lot in Forest cemetery.

Mrs. Bailey and her husband were among the first settlers of Stevens Point. She was a member of the Episcopal church and was confirmed here 39 years ago, during the pastorate of the late Bishop Reginold H. Weller. She was past president of the Woman's Relief corps.

Besides her four daughters, there are surviving 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Those attending the Funeral from out of town included Mrs. Grace Roach and Gordon Utes of River Forest, Illinois; Mrs. Charles Ebert and son, Charles, and Mrs. Katherine Lane of Chicago; Mrs. Buck of Houston; Miss Mary Bonwell of Minneapolis; Rev. and Mrs. John Knapp of Anoka, Minnesota, and Miss Mildred Bacon of Two Rivers.

The pallbearers were Dr. C. F. Campbell, Byron J. Carpenter, Robert Zimmer, Gilbert Beck, Edward Smith, and LeRoy Rivers. Mrs. F. W. Eberlein played organ music during the services.
