Funeral services will be held
at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Unit-
ed Church of Christ, Nekoosa, for
Melford L. Streeter, 54, his wife,
Dorothy M., 52, and their son,
Orville L., 28, victims of an early
morning accident Saturday on
Highway 13 in Adams County. All
three were killed instantly. They
were residents of the town of
Saratoga.
The accident, considered the
worst in Adams County records,
also took the life of...
Mr. Streeter was born Feb. 22,
1909, in Milwaukee, the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Orville Streeter
Sr. A resident of the town of
Saratoga for 22 years, he was em-
ployed by the Nekoosa Foundry
and Machine Works Inc. His wife,
the former Dorothy M. Elgas, was
born in Milwaukee Nov. 25, 1910,
the daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. William Elgas.
They were married at Black
River Falls on Jan. 2, 1930.
Their son, Orville L., who lived
with them, was born in the town
of Knapp, Jackson County, July
15, 1935...
