Lon was the son of John David Humble & Rachel Ann Wilson. He married Montie Pearl Carter in 1908 in Welch, Craig, OK. Their children were: Clifford Leroy, Oliver, Cleta, John Paul, Londo K., Billy Joe & Betty Jean (twins) and an infant that was born in 1909 and died 12 April 1909.

Lon C. Humble, 87, long-time resident of Bartlesville, died early Saturday morning in the Heritage House following a long illness.
He was born Jan. 20, 1886 in Vernon County, MO. His family moved to Craig County, Indian Territory when he was a small boy and he grew up and attended schools there. He married Miss Montie Pearl Carter in 1908 and they moved to Bartlesville in 1919 where he was active as a teamster in the oil fields. Mrs. Humble died in 1957. Mr. Humble later worked as a cement finisher until his retirement about 1950. He was a member of the Christian Church.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday with Rev. John Turner of the Central Nazarene Church officiating.
He is survived by four sons, Oliver Humble of Tulsa, Paul Humble of Bartlesville, Clifford Humble of San Francisco, Calif., and Bill Humble of Bartlesville; two daughters, Mrs. Rodney Williams (Cleta L.) of Bartlesville and Mrs. Betty Eden of Bartlesville; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Wisehart of Litchfield, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The Stumpff Funeral Home is in charge.
