Civil is the daughter of David Goff [NC] and Marilla Pickett [NY] and the wife of Robert/John Barnes.
Her parents David & Marilla were living in the Dutch Bayou area of Escatawpa when they died, it is believed they are buried in the 'Old Elder Cemetery' on Dutch Bayou Road, however there are no markers.
In the 1860 census, Civil & daughter Charlotte are living with her mother Marilla Goff, and her brothers & sisters, all listed as Goff's - never found John Robert Barnes.
