BILOXI - Clyde W Anderson Sr. 77, died Aug 8, 2002 in Biloxi, MS.
Mr. Anderson was born in Biloxi and was a lifelong resident. Her served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. Anderson was past president of St John's Parish council, member of Knights of Columbus, 4th degree in Council 1244 and local 903 International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker, VFW Post 2434 and a AARP member. Mr. Anderson also received the St George Medal from Bishop Brunin, he served many years as assistant scout master in Troop 213.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Ratzlaff.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Kathryn E. Anderson; a daughter, Georgia Skrmetti, Ocean Springs, MS; four sons, Clyde W. Anderson Jr., and wife Irma , Biloxi, MS, Kevin Anderson and wife, Dianne, Biloxi, MS; Keith Anderson, and wife Mary, Biloxi, MS and Kendel Anderson and wife, Janette, Long Beach, MS; one sister, Thelma Coggin, Houston Texas; four brothers, Elvin Anderson, Gulfport, MS, James Anderson, Biloxi, MS, Robert Anderson, Biloxi, MS, and Wayne Anderson, Ocean Springs, MS; eight grandchildren, Stacy Thompson, Glenn Anderson, Lauren Anderson, Leah Anderson, Jonathan Anderson, Danielle Anderson, Dustin Wilde, and Heather Wilde; two great grandchildren, Jason Anderson and Jessica Thompson.
Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2002, 6 to 9 pm at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe, with a rosary at 7 pm.
Services will be at St John's Catholic Church at 1:00pm Saturday August 10 with a procession leaving the funeral home at 12:45 pm.
Burial will be in Biloxi City Cemetery, directed by Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi.
