Benjamin Edward Ellis Sr., 82, a retired auto mechanic and a resident of Miss. 57, Vancleave, died Monday in Biloxi.
Visitors may call tonight from 6 until 8 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi. His funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Vancleave, where visitors may call an hour before services. Burial will be in the Vancleave Cemetery #2.
Mr. Ellis was born in Dansville, Mich., and had resided in Vancleave since 1905.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Fleming of Vancleave, Mrs. Clara Buchanan of Biloxi and Mrs. Judith Majkowsky of Clark Air Base, Republic of Philippines; one son, Ivan M. Ellis of Vancleave; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Havens of Ocean Springs, Mrs. Edna Tisdale of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Anna Ruth Murphy of Vancleave; a brother George L. Ellis of Fairhope, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
