He was a son of the late Sigmund and Stella Voytus Bienkowski.

He was a graduate of St. Peter's College, Jersey City, NJ, received a Master's of Science from C.W. Post College, Long Island, NY and Master's of Business Administration from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Penn. He proudly served in the U. S. Army and the U. S. Army Reserve achieving rank of Lt. Colonel. He retired as a Senior Systems Analyst before moving to South Carolina. He was an active member of American Legion, Post #193 in Chapin, SC.

He is survived by his wife: Rose Bienkowski; daughters: Christine Dockey (James), Catherine Fabich (Neil), Diana Tacha (David); son: Michael Bienkowski; three siblings: Edmond, Kenneth and Mary. He was also the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren.

A memorial Mass was held at 10 AM on Monday, April 27, 2015, at his former parish, St. Richard Catholic Church in Gibsonia, PA (3841 Dickey Rd, Gibsonia, PA 15044). Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo assisted the family in Columbia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
