Prosperity, SC - Dennis Dean Anderson, 70, was born November 18, 1945 in Hammond, Indiana and passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015. He was a son of the late Carl B. Anderson and Christine Chizmar Anderson. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Carl Anderson.

He was a devoted husband and loving father. He was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church. He served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969 in the Vietnam War where he received a Bronze Star. He attended Hammond Technical School and was a crew chief for Al Eierdam Jet Dragster. He was a Welder and Machinest at Tarmac Mid-Atlantic Rock Quarry.

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Harrigan Anderson of Prosperity; sons: Carl Dean Anderson of Prosperity, Chad Christopher Anderson of Lexington; brother: Niles David Anderson (Linda) of Michigan; sister: Winnifred Ivan Thompson (Jim) of Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Macedonia Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Randall S. Derrick. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC for research of Prostate and Bone Cancer.
