BATESBURG - David Hawkins Berry Sr., 85, died April 29, 2010. Interment in Ridge Crest Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Poole, Jerry Poole, James Winn, Carol Berry, Carl Henry Berry and Leslie Corley.

Mr. Berry was born in Saluda, SC, son of the late James Henry and Coye Hawkins Berry. He was a member of Emory Methodist Church. He was an Air Force veteran. He enjoyed fishing and being outside with flowers and animals.

Surviving are his wife, Pauline Whittle Berry; sons and daughters-in-law, David H. Berry Jr. (Suzanne) of Lexington, David Deas Berry (Sabrina) of Batesburg; brother, Hoyt Berry of Rayston, GA; twin brother, Wallace Berry of Batesburg; sisters, Winifred Poole of West Columbia, Grace Westmoreland of Gilbert; and two grandchildren: Brooke Elizabeth Berry and Victoria Lynn Berry. Mr. Berry was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Lynn Deas; brothers, Carl, Kelly and G.P. Berry; sisters, Mae Winn and Georgia Rikard.
