Debra Jean Dykes, age 49, of Crocus Road in Jamestown, Kentucky, died Friday, September 12, 2008 at Russell County Hospital.
She was born in Adair County on May 14, 1959 to Charlotte McQueary Burton and Fred Burton.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Dykes of Jamestown; two sons, Robbie (Courtney) Kimbler of Columbia, Brandon (Ashely) Dykes of Jamestown; her mother and step-father, Charlotte and Dean Ellis of Columbia, KY; her father and step-mother, Fred and Dolly Burton of Summer Shade, KY; three grandchildren, Camryn Rene' Kimbler and Cady Jean Kimbler, both of Columbia, KY and Terry Logan Dykes of Jamestown; her mother and father-in-law, James and Verlean Dykes of Jamestown; one brother, Mike (Lisa) Burton of Cynthiana, KY; one half sister, Lori (Marvin) Calhoun, Glasgow, KY. She is also survived by several step brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and many other family members.
She was a homemaker and a member of Dutch Creek Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Burton serving as speaker.
