Mr. Hudson died on Thursday, April 11, 2013. Born in Winnsboro, South Carolina, August 12, 1918, he was the son of the late William Hudson and Emma Pearson Hudson. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Montez Cooper Hudson; and two brothers, Albert Hudson and Vernon Hudson. Mr. Hudson was a retired police officer at the University of South Carolina. He was also a member of the Ridgeway Masonic Lodge and the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Hudson was a member of Aimwell Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Roy Hudson (Betty Kay), and William Keith Hudson (Mattie); one sister Leona Hudson Boyd; two grandchildren, Rev. Wendy Hudson-Jacoby (Mike), and Kent Cooper Hudson (Mandee); and four great-grandchildren, Jackson Hudson-Jacoby, Wesley Hudson-Jacoby, Anya Hudson-Jacoby, and Wyatt Kooper Hudson.
