Aiken, SC: David Yount Fisher died Tuesday, July 7, 2015. He was born in McFarlan, NC to the late Giles Willie and Dora Katherine Yount Fisher. He had lived in Aiken for the last 41 years and was a retired SC Highway Patrolman of 40 years. He was a former Elder and Deacon of First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by three sons: David Yount (Cindy) Fisher, Jr. of Pickens, SC, Kenneth (Donna) Fisher of Warrenville, SC, Stephen Wayne (Carla) Fisher of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren: Jessica, Madison, Luke, Cameron and one great grandchild: Ayden.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Adele Durban Fisher and a son, Donald Giles Fisher.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church of Aiken with the Rev. Holly Shoaf-O’Kula officiating. Interment will follow in historic Bethany Cemetery with full honors accorded by the SC Highway Patrol Honor Guard. A reception will follow at Aiken’s First Presbyterian Church parlor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church of Aiken, 224 Barnwell Ave., NW, Aiken, SC 29801 or to the South Carolina Troopers Association, 4961 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Shellhouse Funeral Home, Aiken, SC.
