She graduated from C. A. Johnson High School in Columbia, SC. She was employed by the South Carolina Department of Mental Health and later retired from the City of Columbia Police Department.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her loving mother, Elizabeth J. Hayes; two daughters, NeShauna Hayes and ShaRhonda Albea; one son, O'Darius Hayes; one grandson, D'Marion Jacobs; three brothers, Lincoln Hayes, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; Aaron (Sharon) Hayes and Douglas (Chrisandra) Hayes, all of Columbia, SC; two sisters, LoHoma (Robert) Henry and Angela (Hubert) Bryant, all of Columbia, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will truly miss her.
