My sweet boy, Mr. Duncan, came to join the Caldwell clan as a found puppy by one of my school teacher friends' niece, who found him while on a morning jog. He was covered with fleas and ticks. They were unable to keep him and I volunteered to keep him until his owner was located. He was taken to a local Pets Mart for a haircut and cleaning to rid him of the pest.

We contacted the local shelters, Man and Best, read the paper and searched for his previous owner. One person came to claim him, but after the initial interview it was determined he did not know the dog. He was now my doggy. He went to my favorite vet for a check-up and shots, at that time the doctor estimated he was three to five years of age.

He was named after the best power forward in the NBA, Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs.

It took a short time for me to come to love him as I was always looking over my shoulder in fear that the previous owner would come to take him away.

We think he must have been raised by an older man whose grand-children were boys as he always would choose to go to boys first, even if girls were the first to pet him.

He fit right in with the other furry friends in the house. His best buddy was Lincoln , the cat.

He missed.
