Mr. Stephenson retired from Detroit Edison in 1985, as a general foreman after 37 years of service. He had currently been associated with Elmland Realty in Romeo. He served in the National Guard and the U.S. Army reserves. He was a member and past master of Memphis Masonic Lodge 142 F. & A.M.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Deborah of Tecumseh and Scot and Donna of Virginia Beach, VA; seven grandchildren; a brother, John L. of Memphis; a sister, Joann Chapdelaine of Lapeer; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Kammeraad Funeral, Memphis. The Rev. Fred W. Wilbert will officiate. Burial will be in Memphis Cemetery. A masonic memorial service will be held this evening.
