Arthur E. Cook, 92, of Port Huron Township, passed away in his home Wednesday, April 27, 2016.

He was born February 4, 1924 in Detroit to the late Harold R. and Sylvia C. Cook. He married V. Jean Kerr on October 12, 1946 in Port Huron.

Art retired from the Intermediate School District (now RESA) and also worked at Beard Campbell. He also worked as a locksmith in the area.

He is survived by his wife, V. Jean Cook; two daughters, Kathleen L. Hobden (significant other, George “Russ” Russell), and Ann E. (Lee) Mortimer; grandchildren, Kari (Jimmy) Joslin, Kay (Mike) Wesch, Samuel Ayotte, Jr. (Jen), Nathan Ayotte, Marlana Hobden (Greg); 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter; brother, Charles Cook and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Arthur; son-in-law, Richard Hobden; brothers, Robert and Raymond Cook.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Reverend Lydia Speller will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
