Edye Rayner Bonno, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7, 2010. She was born on February 15, 1952, in Livonia to Eric and Irene Rayner She graduated from CMU with a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education. She taught at Huron Valley High School and worked as a Senior Manager of Training at Comcast. Edye had a passion for art, loved gardening, and traveling, especially traveling up north. She was a very generous person and always put others first. She loved her family and friends. Edye is survived by her beloved children: Jessica Rayner (Mark) Garrett, Joshua Bonno; loving parents Eric and Irene Rayner; her brother Eric (Laura) Rayner; grandchildren: Caleb Bonno, and Lily Garrett. Her sister Karen Schwarck passed away the same day unexpectedly. The family will be receiving friends at Phillips Funeral Home, 122 W. Lake St. (Ten Mile), South Lyon, on Thursday, February 11 and Friday, February 12 from 4 – 8 PM. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 13, 2010 and will begin receiving friends at 10:15 AM at the First United Methodist Church of South Lyon, 640 S. Lafayette, South Lyon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family of Edye Bonno c/o Phillips Funeral Home, 122 W. Lake St., South Lyon, MI 48178, or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to PHILLIPS FUNERAL HOME, South Lyon.
