Earllene Mae Akridge Boss, 79, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012, in Palmyra.

She was born May 26, 1932, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Hubert and Katherine Nash Sutherland. She was retired from Philip Morris in Louisville, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon, the V.F.W. Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon and the Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul L. Akridge, Carl Melton, and Knoeful C. (K.C.) Boss; and her brother James Sutherland.

Survivors include her sons, Paul Akridge (Dodi) of Corydon, David Akridge (Teresa) of Palmyra, Pat Akridge of Jeffersonville, and Keith Akridge (Jennifer) of Greenwood, Indiana; her step son, Casey Boss (Jane) of Corydon; 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Her funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon. Father Rob Hankee will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

There will be a V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary service at 6:00 p.m. Saturday and a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Paul, David, Pat, Keith, Kevin and John Akridge.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus.
