Glen C. Morris, 73, of Payson, died Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Pyle Memorial Hospital.
Morris was born in Martinsburg, Indiana, and moved to Arizona in 1923 from Colorado and attended school in Chandler.
He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Phelps Dodge Corporation in Morenci and Ajo between 1934-41.
Morris was manager of Cochise County Airport in Willcox between 1956-68 and then moved to Payson.
He is survived by his wife, Maude of Payson; two sons Ted of Payson and Bud of Parker; two daughters, three brothers; two sisters; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 9 in the Payson Ward Chapel of the Mormon Church. Interment was in the Payson Pioneer Cemetery. (Rim Country News - 11 Feb 1984)
