She was born on October 23, 1922 in Folkston, Georgia to the late Mary Polk and John Henry Barnes.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Immokalee, FL and later became a member of Asbury UMC in Orange Park.
She is survived by her two Daughters: Linda (Vick) Welsh, and Elaine Harrell, both of Orange Park; one Sister: Doris Vickers of Brunswick, Georgia; three Grandchildren: Joseph (Anida) Thomas, Evan Welsh and Travis (Cheri) Welsh and two Great Grandchildren: Dillon Thomas and Jessica Thomas.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 16 at Shepard Funeral Home at 1:00 PM and funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bill Dike officiating.
