Corbin Alfred McHenry, 4 months and 12 days of age, of Havelock, North Carolina, departed this life and was delivered into his Lord's arms on Saturday, August 17th, 2013 at 7:04 a.m. surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Corbin was diagnosed in utero with a chromosomal condition known as Trisomy 13, a rare genetic disorder. While already battling the harsh label of "incompatible with life" this little miracle blessed the world seven weeks early and was born on Thursday, April 4th, 2013 at 9:53 p.m. weighing four pounds, four ounces and was 17 inches long, son of Lance Corporal, Shane McHenry and Kara McHenry.

Corbin was survived by his parents, Kara and Shane; grandparents, Deborah and Keith Barker and Becky and Darin McHenry; two aunts, Kerri Ray and Rachelle Mason; four uncles, Alfred Collins, Dalan McHenry, Neilen Barker, and Nathan Barker; cousins, Kailey, Bailie, and Aubrie; his puppy dog, Zeus; and millions of Facebook friends who loved him and prayed for him as he fought against all odds for 135 perfect days.

Visitations for family and friends were held on Monday, August 19th, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Wilkerson Funeral Home in Greenville, North Carolina.

The procession lead to the celebration of life service, that was open to the public, at Saint Gabriel's Church in Greenville, North Carolina (service began at 3:00 p.m.).

Corbin was cremated and his ashes were given to his family.

A balloon release followed the celebration of life service, (also open to the public) at approximately 4:30 p.m. at Saint Gabriel's Church. A request was made to feel free to release a blue, teal, or white balloons around the world between 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in Corbin's honor.

THIS IS A TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF CORBIN,

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above. We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache compares with the death of one small child, who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold. So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them and so He takes but a few, to make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try. The saddest word mankind will ever know will always be "Goodbye".
