Ryan was born a son of John and Kelly (Kessler) Halligan. Ryan was a student at Albert D. Lawton Middle School and loved by so many of his classmates. He loved being with his friends after school and he was just developing a passion for playing the guitar. He had a beautiful smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He touched so many over the years, as he was a very sensitive boy, and deeply empathetic toward others. Ryan is survived by his parents, John and Kelly, his sister, Megan, and brother, Conor, all of Essex Junction; his grandparents, Elizabeth Halligan of Syosset, N.Y., Claire Kessler of Farmingdale, N.Y., Dr. Richard Kessler and his wife, Sheila, of New York City, N.Y.; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather John Halligan on March 5, 2003.
