John Gellock, 84 years old, died of paralysis this morning at the county almshouse, where he had been an inmate for several years. He formerly resided in Easton and for a number of years was watchman at the Rinek rope walk, up along Bushkill Creek.

According to the 1900 Census, Easton PA, John H Gellick, 76 yrs. old was born Jan. 1824 in Germany and had been in the U.S. for 55 yrs. This means he would've immigrated in 1845, and not 1812 as the census lists for his year of immigration, which is before he was even born.
